Welcome to my (re-)found Homeland!

My name is Sven Hugo Joosten. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and was blessed to spend holidays in Austria and South Tyrol several times a year since birth. Feeling deeply at home here, I eventually moved to Carinthia before finally settling in Vienna. I never expected to become so attached to this city.

Just as I was moving here, I began discovering fragments of my own family history. I could never have imagined that by delving deeper and exploring the city myself, I would find so many traces and tangible evidence of my roots. I guess Vienna and I were simply meant to be. Now, 30 years later, I am a part-time state-certified tour guide.
